Privacy policy
Effective October 30, 2026
Wordstone has no accounts and does not send your play data to us. The free version shows ads from Google, which uses some device data to deliver them. Wordstone Pro removes ads.
Wordstone is made by Aleksei Veselkov (Veselkov Apps), who is responsible for the data described here. Contact: info@veselkovapps.com.
What stays on your device
Your scores, times, stars, streak, shards, tile sets and settings are saved on your device. The Wordstone Home Screen widget reads the same data on the same device. None of it is sent to us. It may be included in your own device backups, and deleting the app deletes it.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. Wordstone never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos or location. We run no analytics server, so we do not receive data about how you play.
Ads in the free version
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, limit how often you see them and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process data such as your IP address (which indicates your general location), device identifiers, device and app information such as model, system version and language, and how you interact with ads. This data goes to Google, not to us. Google describes its practices in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Consent. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Wordstone shows Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time under Ad privacy choices in the app's Settings, which appears where consent is required.
- Tracking. Wordstone asks through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before ads load. Only if you allow it can Google use Apple's advertising identifier to show ads that fit you. If you decline, ads still show but are not linked to you across apps. Change it any time in iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- Wordstone Pro. Pro removes ads. Reward ads, which you can watch for shards, play only when you choose to watch one.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never see your name, card or billing details. The app asks the App Store on your device what you have bought, so it can unlock it.
Game Center
Leaderboards use Apple's Game Center, and only if you are signed in to it. When you finish a ranked round, Wordstone sends your result for that board to Game Center under your Game Center name. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.
Reminders
If you allow notifications, Wordstone schedules its reminders on your device. No server or push service is involved. You can turn them off in iPhone Settings, Notifications, Wordstone.
Children
Wordstone is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to us and we will delete it.
This website
wordstonegame.com sets no cookies, shows no ads and runs no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
If you write to info@veselkovapps.com, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed for that.
Your rights
Because your game data stays on your device, you control it: deleting the app removes it. For anything held by Google or Apple, use their privacy tools linked above. For questions about this policy, or to exercise any right you have under the law where you live, email us.
Changes
If the app or this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
